Possible marker for ovarian cancer found

Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania have zeroed in on a possible marker for ovarian cancer. The discovery of the marker, called TEM1 and found in the blood vessels surrounding the tumor, could lead to new screening and treatment options.

SheRox Philadelphia Triathlon, sponsored by the Philadelphia Area Lincoln Mercury Dealer Association in partnership with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, helped to raise more than $18,000 which will benefit the Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
